Featuring an agathis body and hard maple neck, the Maranello Guitar is built for tone.  Two Wilkinson humbuckers with separate volume and tone controls provide plenty of options for both lead and rhythm. An Italia trapeze tailpiece and tune-o-matic bridge keep your intonation solid. Nickel silver covers were discontinued on most Humbuckers early in the sixties due to the difficulty of polishing, plating, and the expense of the material itself. When brass was substituted, guitarists started removing the covers to regain the high frequencies that brass tends to mask, leading to the open coil look that we are familiar with today.
