EuCon - High Speed Connectivity - Any Application
EuCon is a high speed Ethernet control protocol developed by Euphonix that allows the MC Control to connect to any Mac OS X application. EuCon carries control information for faders, knobs, displays and more between the MC Control and whatever application is in focus on your computer.
EuCon is MIDI on steroids and is the next generation control protocol for working with music and video applications.
The EuControl application manages the MC Control’s connection to the Mac, and the MC Client application connects the EuCon control data to all the applications. The MC Control can connect to any application, but for fader and knob control, the application must be able to support either EuCon, HUI, or Mackie Control protocol.

Customizable Touch-screen Interface
The new high-resolution 800 x 480 pixel LED-backlit touch-screen interface not only displays all of your project’s top-level information like track names/numbers, metering (from mono to 5.1 surround data), fader/pan values, automation mode, etc., but also lets you quickly access all plug-in and EQ parameters, trigger macro commands, perform surround panning, and much more. The LED-backlit display provides you with a wide viewing angle, bright graphics and excellent color consistency.
Touch-sensitive Motorized Faders
High quality ALPS 100mm long throw faders offer accurate and smooth mixing – touching a fader will automatically select the corresponding track.
Record/Automation Keys
Enable direct arming of tracks for recording and/or selection of each track’s automation mode.
Select/Assign Keys
Select tracks and assign faders to layouts, allowing you to bank through tracks with the remaining faders – perfect for master fader and submix applications.
Footswitch Jack
Punch in and out of recording when footswitch is connected.
Transport Controls
Jog/Shuttle/Zoom Wheel
Ergonomic layout puts transport controls and data entry wheel at your fingertips, as well as keys to quickly select what parameter the wheel will modify (zoom horizontally/vertically, jog/shuttle, trimming clip head and tail, setting clip gain, cross fading, etc.).
Assignable Soft Keys
Use these Soft Keys to trigger everything from simple keystroke commands to complex custom macros displayed on the touch-screen interface above – use the up/down arrows to scroll through an unlimited number of commands.
Track Navigation
Scroll through tracks using the Bank buttons (in groups of four tracks at a time) and Nudge buttons (one track at a time).
Application/Workstation Change
Lets you cycle through your applications - Workstation Change allows you to switch between multiple workstations.
Monitor/Control Room Level
Controls Studio Monitor Express software to provide professional monitoring (from stereo up to 5.1) as well as complete talkback controls via any CoreAudio compliant interface.
Touch-sensitive Rotary Encoders
Offer direct control over everything from panning and gain to editing your plug-ins and EQ – these knobs can also be pressed to select/ deselect and navigate through parameters.
