Strat Piezo Guitar Pickup
Imagine one guitar that is perfect for blues or rock and roll, has the ultimate clean sound, is great for jazz and has a great acoustic sound without feedback. Sounds like an expensive dream, but chances are that you already own this guitar. It's your beloved Strat. And all that it has been waiting for to unleash this hidden potential is the vibraton bridge pickup, the X-Bridge from LR Baggs.
When LR Baggs decided to apply their fifteen years of transducer design experience to amplifying the electric guitar, they were faced with the task of first choosing a guitar and then a bridge. The Strat was a pretty obvious choice. But when they interviewed guitar makers about bridges, they found that there was no existing bridge that had the qualities they were looking for. So LR Baggs designed their own. The X-Bridge is beautiful, responsive and dynamic, and has a jaw-dropping sound that redefines what a Strat can do.
The Vintage X-Bridge is a drop-in replacement for the Vintage Strat bridge with six pivot screw holes spaced .440" apart from each other (center to center) and 2.2" from the first to the sixth hole (center to center). There are a few other bridges on the market that have the same look as the vintage bridge but with narrower overall string and screw hole spacing, making them non-interchangeable.
The Passive Stereo kit provides for independent outputs for the magnetic and X-Bridge pickups via the "tip" and "ring" contacts of a stereo jack. A volume pot for the passive X-Bridge takes the place of a middle tone control. The tone functions are summed onto the other tone pot. The wiring is designed for a typical 3-knob Strat.
