We are often asked how the Chinese accordions compare to other makers. Here is an honest quote from a customer who is a player and collector with considerable hands on experience. This is one opinion, we hope it is helpful.
"I have personally bought and used the imported Chinese 48, 60, 72, 96, and 120 bass accordions. I found all to be well made, have good key action, good bass action, and great bellows with good compression. I have found that the tuning is usually a musette tuning. The Chinese make their bass sections in a cage, which makes for simple removal. I had one damaged in shipping, and the repair was easy-only unsnap the cage and re-position the buttons. I have found buying "vintage" accordions to be far more problematic, as they are prone to wear, damage, rusting, or needing complete overhaul. As a hobbyist or amateur musician, you cannot find a better value than these imported accordions." E. Keith
